This single family home had baths.  We remodeled both of their bathrooms and now they have 2 full baths.

first floor half-bath into a full bath  •  remodeled second floor full bath

For the half-bath downstairs, we moved the door and walls to use underutilized space (see photos below), we were able to add a beautiful corner shower, transforming it into a full bath for when guests come or more than one person needs to get ready at the same time in the morning.

(Please keep in mind that all of our images started out as several photographs that were merged into one.
The merging process and the curvature of the camera lens can distort images.)

Once the downstairs bathroom was completed, we were able to remodel the bathroom upstairs (see below) without causing disruption to the family.

What started out as a dark and dated yet functional bathroom was transformed into a classically styled, light-filled room that was true to the architecture of the home.  A glass block window was added to the new wall at the end of the tub to keep splashes in and for architectural interest.  Since the floor and the wall tiles were in good condition, we kept them, and we integrated the new features.  The addition of an exhaust fan and new lighting made the space more functional.  The marble mosaic floor was cleaned and polished to its original lustre to complete the revival of this art deco bathroom that was original to this older house.

Both of these projects were done with great care to contain the dust to the work area.  Sam Brusco is a licensed lead-safe remodeler.
